Formal Gardens Enduring Design
Whittemore Brown Design works within a tradition of structured, European-influenced garden making, drawing from French, Italian and English precedents and adapting them to the conditions and scale of the Australian landscape. The result is gardens that feel considered and settled, designed to improve as they mature rather than date as they age.
Planting is the primary concern. Materials, structures and built elements are selected to support and frame the garden, not to define it. Where hardscape leads, planting becomes an afterthought. Here it does not.
